Josh Smith has been promoted to General Manager of Bill Clark Pest Control. Smith has been with the company since graduating from Vidor High School in 2001 where he began his employment working as a pest control technician while attending Lamar University. He eventually completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2006 and continued his employment with Bill Clark managing the branch office in Orange where he successfully grew this division by an astounding 50% in just 3 short years. In 2009 he moved into the corporate office in Beaumont where he was promoted to Assistant General Manager working very closely with Bill Clark. “In the past 5 years Josh has played a vital role in moving our company toward greater success and has guided us through the most rapid growth this company has ever seen”, says Bill Clark. Clark also adds “His calm demeanor and sharp business mind was very evident early on as I directed him in his career progression”. “He genuinely has a sincere passion for people as well as for the industry and relates well with the entire team of Bugsperts and for that I’m just so excited to witness this next step into the future of our great company says Clark”. The promotion was announced at the 3rd annual Crawfish boil awards gathering held at the corporate office on Thursday May 29th where the team is recognized for individual accomplishments. Smith says “It’s really an honor to receive this promotion but most of all the rewarding part is the sharing in the camaraderie we have as a team and the benefit of getting to work alongside with such wonderful people that sincerely care about protecting people and property”. Smith was recently recognized as a 40 under 40 professional and a Leadership Beaumont graduate by the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Economic Development Foundation under the GBCOC, advisory board member of Leadership Beaumont and is an active member of the Rotary club of Beaumont.
